What's Happening in Tampa Bay This March (2026)

Spring is here, and Tampa Bay is packed with things to do. Whether you're a local business owner looking for networking opportunities or just trying to get out of the house, here's what's worth your time in March 2026.

Gasparilla Festival of the Arts — Feb 28 – Mar 1

Kicking things off right at the end of February, the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts returns to Julian B. Lane Waterfront Park in Tampa. This is one of the biggest outdoor art festivals in the Southeast — hundreds of artists, live music, food vendors, and waterfront views. If you run a local business, this is a great place to network and soak up some creative energy.

When: February 28 – March 1 Where: Julian B. Lane Waterfront Park, Tampa Cost: Free admission

Green Thumb Festival — Coming in April (Mark Your Calendar)

Not technically March, but the Green Thumb Festival at Walter Fuller Park in St. Pete (April 25–26) is already generating buzz. If you're in landscaping, home services, or anything outdoors-related, start planning your presence now. Vendor spots fill up fast.

St. Pete Artwalk — Every 2nd Saturday

One of the best recurring events in Pinellas County. Over 40 studios and galleries across five arts districts open their doors from 5–9 PM on the second Saturday of each month. That means March 14 is your next chance.

Take the trolley, walk, or drive — it's a solid evening out and a great way to support local artists. If you're a business in the arts district, this is free foot traffic. Use it.

First Friday Art Walk — Gulfport

Every first Friday (so March 6), downtown Gulfport transforms into an open-air gallery from 5–9 PM. Live music, local vendors, and a laid-back beach-town vibe. It's smaller than St. Pete Artwalk but has its own charm — and the crowd is loyal.

Pinellas Arts Village Walk — 4th Saturday

March 28, 4–8 PM along Park Blvd in Pinellas Park. This one features the Pinellas Park Art Society, local studios, a sweet shop, and a pub. It's community-focused and walkable — exactly the kind of event that builds word-of-mouth for local businesses.

Creative Clay Outdoor Art Market — First Fridays

Every first Friday from 10 AM – 2 PM at 1846 First Ave S in St. Pete. Great if you prefer daytime events. Local ceramics, paintings, and handmade goods.

Indie Faire — Gulfport (3rd Saturday)

March 21, 5–9 PM on Beach Blvd in Gulfport. Handmade crafts, jewelry, pottery, locally sourced botanicals. It's the indie, artisan side of Pinellas and it draws a dedicated crowd.

Whiskey Obsession Festival — Tampa

If you're into spirits (and let's be honest, who isn't), the Whiskey Obsession Festival hits Tampa on March 19. Details are still rolling out, but last year's event featured dozens of distilleries, live music, and food pairings. Keep an eye on this one.

Breakaway Music Festival — April 17–18

Another one to mark early: Breakaway Music Festival at Raymond James Stadium. Major headliners, massive crowds, and a prime opportunity for Tampa Bay businesses to get in front of a younger demographic. Sponsorship and vendor applications are likely open now.

Why This Matters for Your Business

Here's the thing most business owners miss: local events are marketing opportunities. You don't need a booth at every festival. But you should:

Local SEO isn't just about keywords. It's about being part of the community. Google notices when your business is connected to what's happening in your area.
